![]() ![]() BUT, once it works, there's a lot of value in it. Like, you have to go out of your way to make a registration system that clunky. The registration and setup experience is terrible. My roommate has the Vive and I seriously considered selling the Rift for the Vive, but did a little more research and people seem to really, really like the Oculus Touch controls, so I'm just going to wait. Overall, the Rift feels a little lackluster due to the lack of touch controls. I got lifted into the air and started feeling a little sick so I took it off and felt nauseous for the next 5 hours lol I probably could have tweaked the settings some more prior to that, but the frames dropped to about 40-50 during a few moments right before I turned it off and I think that's what did me in. I played portal 2 on it for about 15 minutes. The HUD being hidden around the edges tends to be an issue and I don't particularly like screen peeking just to see that stuff because it's another thing to think about which detracts from the experience. Maybe if it was $30 or less, it would have been an easier pill to swallow. I've realized that VorpX just isn't for me and it sucks that I feel like I wasted $40 on it. I really wish I knew about Vireio before I bought VorpX. You are misunderstanding the entire concept of subjectivity, which is a large portion of every discussion, and simply life itself. I can't stress how essential it is that you (ie anyone who is reading this) understands that. It is very important reading comprehension and concept of subjectivity. That is because the implied part of such a statement is that it is worth it for potential buyers, not that it is worth it for myself. It would be absolutely idiotic, and not even remotely worth it FOR ME to buy the quickfire, yet I can accurately say "The mx blue quickfire is worth it". HOWEVER, I do not personally like blue switches, and I also already have a much nicer more expensive keyboard. The price-tag is relatively cheap for the quality of the board. I could say "The MX Blue quickfire is worth the cost". For example, I'm into mechanical keyboards. ![]() When you say something is 'worth' it, you are inherently talking about 'for potential consumers', unless you specifically state someone. ![]() Who is a good husband is subjective, but maybe I'm a straight male who is already happily married and lives in a different country than Frank, so even though I think Frank is a good husband, it doesn't mean I want to marry him. If I said "Frank is a good husband" it would imply "I think Frank is a good husband", it DOES NOT imply "Frank is a good husband for me". The opinion of the author implies that they 'think' something to be the case, not that they are talking about themselves. This isn't an instance where there are different correct opinions. I've given up even trying to make it enjoyable and I simply play my old games in Virtual Desktop. For what it is right now, I'd say it's worth $10 max. In my opinion, this is a hack application that is not worth the price at all. I made some posts on the official forums asking for help and they remain unanswered two weeks later. I was enjoying Psychonauts in VR a lot until I realized the whole screen goes black about 20% of the time you load a new scene and all you can do is kill the application. Most games I tried from the list of "supported games" either have weak depth or are too buggy to even play. Even the few that can look decent need you to understand the process of tweaking the settings. ![]() I did get mine within a couple hours but this isn't explained clearly before you purchase and it's not something one would expect to have to deal with.Ībsolutely no games work right away. You have to email the creator and request a download link. You can't even use it right away after purchasing it. I knew it wasn't perfect and it would take some effort to tweak settings but I didn't expect it to be as buggy and unintuitive as it is. I thought $40 was a fair price for being able to play several of the games I already own in VR/3D.
